Overview
Agafay is the closest desert to Marrakech. It is not a sand sea like the Sahara but a wide, quiet landscape of golden stone hills, with the snowy High Atlas on the horizon. It is the perfect place to feel the desert without a long drive.
This trip mixes adventure and relaxing. You start with an hour on a quad bike, then slow down on the back of a camel while the sky turns orange. When it gets dark, the camp lights up with lanterns for dinner and a show around the fire.

Itinerary
Welcome to the camp
Arrive in the Agafay Desert. Fresh mint tea and Moroccan pastries while you get your helmet and goggles.
Quad biking
One hour on the quad with a guide in front. A short training first, so no experience is needed.
Camel ride at sunset
A 30 minute camel walk through the hills, with time for photos as the sun sets behind the mountains.
Dinner
Moroccan salads, chicken or vegetable tagine, seasonal fruit and mint tea, served in the camp.
Music and fire show
Gnawa musicians, drums and a fire show under the stars. Join the dancing if you like.
Return to Marrakech
Drive back to your hotel. You arrive around 22:00.

Pickup
Pickup from all hotels and riads in Marrakech. For riads inside the medina, we meet you at the nearest square or road. We confirm the exact time and place by email.
Know before you go
- Drivers must be 16 or older; children ride as passengers
- Bring a warm layer, evenings in the desert are cold from October to April
- Not suitable for pregnant women or people with back problems
- Vegetarian dinner possible, tell us when you book
