Essaouira is the perfect break from the heat and noise of Marrakech. It is a small, windy port town with white houses and blue shutters, art galleries, and a medina where you can walk without being rushed.
On the way you stop at an argan cooperative and, with luck, see goats standing in the argan trees. In town, your guide shows you the port and the ramparts, then you have the afternoon free for lunch, shopping or the beach.
