Luxury Experiences in Marrakech
Luxury in Morocco is about moments, not marble: the silence before sunrise, a table in the desert at dusk, an hour of warm steam in a riad. These six experiences are the ones travellers remember longest.
Choose your day
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before. No online payment, you pay on the day.
Rise above the plains
The hot air balloon is our most special morning. You are collected from your hotel or riad between 5:00 and 6:30, you have tea or coffee and a croissant before take off, and you fly for about an hour with a licensed pilot while the light turns from grey to pink to gold. You land to a traditional Berber breakfast and receive a flight certificate. Flight insurance is included.
The flight leaves when the weather is calm. If wind or visibility stops it, you get a new date or a full refund, so we suggest not booking it on your last morning. You can also ask for a private flight instead of a shared basket.
Dine in the desert
The Agafay dinner is an evening to share. You watch the sunset over the stone hills with the snowy Atlas behind, step into a lantern lit camp and sit down to a three course Moroccan dinner with live Gnawa music, drums and a fire show. Return transfer is included, so there is no driving at night.
Slow time in the city
A hammam in a riad is the traditional luxury of Marrakech. You have a steam bath, a scrub with black soap and a kessa glove, a rhassoul clay wrap and a 45 minute massage with warm argan oil, with towels, slippers and mint tea included. It is private for one or two people, with a couples room on request.
The horse carriage is another slow way to see the city: a private green carriage for up to four people, along the red ramparts, the Koutoubia and the Menara gardens, then Jemaa el Fna with a guide as the evening starts.
For gardens at their best, our gardens tour starts at 8:30 with timed Majorelle tickets booked in advance, so you walk the blue villa before the crowds.
A day of landscape
For the traveller who prefers a long road, the Road of the Kasbahs crosses the Tizi n'Tichka pass, visits the Glaoui kasbah of Telouet and ends at Aït Benhaddou with lunch. It is a full day with a driver and a guide in a 4x4, with a maximum of six guests per vehicle.
Make it private
Every experience on this page can be booked as a private trip, with your own guide and vehicle, your pace and your start time. Choose Private tour in the booking form, or write to us with your dates and we send a plan and a price by email. Our trip planning form is the easiest way to ask for a combination of several days.
Frequently asked questions
What is the most romantic experience?
The balloon at sunrise and the desert dinner at sunset are the two favourites for couples.
Can you arrange a surprise or a celebration?
Write to us with the date and your idea. We cannot promise special extras without checking with each partner, but we tell you what is possible.
Is the balloon safe?
The flight is run with a licensed pilot and flight insurance is included. The pilot checks the weather before every flight, and the flight is cancelled when conditions are not safe.
Can I book several experiences together?
Yes. Use the trip plan form on the homepage and tell us your dates. We suggest a sequence that balances early starts with slower days.
Are these experiences available all year?
Yes, but October to April is best for the balloon and the desert dinner, and the hammam is perfect in any season.
