Itinerary
Todra Gorge to Merzouga
Walk in the Todra gorge between 300 metre high cliffs. Continue to Merzouga and ride a camel into the dunes at sunset. Dinner, drums and night in the desert camp.
Sunrise and drive to Fes
Climb a dune for sunrise, then drive north through the Ziz valley and the cedar forests of Azrou and Ifrane to Fes. About 8 hours on the road. Night in a riad in Fes.
Fes and Chefchaouen
Walk through the medina of Fes with a local guide, then drive to Chefchaouen, about 3 and a half hours. Evening walk in the blue old town. Night in a riad.
Chefchaouen to Marrakech
Morning walk in Chefchaouen, then a long drive back to Marrakech by the motorway, about 8 hours with stops, arriving in the evening.

The south is very hot in summer and cold at night in winter. Fes and Chefchaouen are cooler and can be rainy from November to March, so bring a light rain jacket.
